Terms of Use

Last updated Oct 30, 2026

These terms apply to your use of relayautomation.io, including the PolicyFinder demo and the downloadable capability statement (together, the "site"). The site is run by Relay Automation LLC ("Relay," "we," "us"). By using the site or sending the contact form, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. Some parts don't apply to the U.S. Government; see below.

U.S. Government users

U.S. Government users. If you are an agency or instrumentality of the United States, or a person acting in an official U.S. capacity, these terms do not bind the United States. Indemnity, limitation of liability, North Carolina governing law, North Carolina venue, and “continued use means you accept updates” do not apply to the United States. Any paid work will be under a separate written agreement. Federal law, including 31 U.S.C. § 1341, controls. Where a contract includes FAR 52.212-4(u) or GSAR 552.212-4, those clauses also apply.

What the site is

The site describes Relay's products and services, offers a public demo, and lets you contact us. Any work we do for you, such as a pilot, license, or custom build, will be covered by a separate written agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement controls.

Informational, not legal advice

Regulatory content on this site, including PolicyFinder results and FAR/DFARS excerpts, is for general information only. It isn't legal, contracting, or compliance advice, and it may be incomplete or out of date. Before you rely on it, check the official FAR at acquisition.gov and the official DFARS at acquisition.gov/dfars, and talk to your contracting officer or legal counsel. The eCFR at ecfr.gov is a convenient unofficial compilation.

Don't send sensitive information

Don't submit Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), classified information, or other export-controlled or sensitive government data through the contact form, by email, or in demo searches. The site isn't built or approved to handle it.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

Our content

The site's design, text, graphics, videos, logos, and software belong to Relay or its licensors. You may view the site and share the capability statement for evaluating or buying our services. Federal regulations shown in the demo are public-domain government works. The Relay name and logo are ours, so please don't use them without our permission.

What you send us

You keep ownership of what you send us. You allow us to use it to reply and to discuss working together. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we can use them freely and owe you nothing for them.

Other sites

The site links to outside sites such as ecfr.gov. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content.

No warranties

We provide the site "as is." We try to keep it accurate and working, but we don't promise that it'll be error-free, uninterrupted, or current.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Relay isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from use of the site. For private users, Relay's total liability relating to the site is limited to $100. These limits don't apply to fraud, willful or wanton conduct, or gross negligence, or to any claim North Carolina or federal law doesn't allow to be limited, including N.C.G.S. § 75-1.1 and non-waivable duties under N.C.G.S. § 75-65. They don't apply to the United States.

If you misuse the site (private users only)

If your misuse of the site, or your violation of these terms, causes a third-party claim against Relay, you will pay Relay's reasonable resulting costs to the extent caused by that misuse or violation. This doesn't require you to cover Relay's own negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct. This paragraph doesn't apply to the United States.

Governing law

For private users, these terms are governed by North Carolina law, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts in North Carolina. For the United States, federal law and the forums it provides control. Before filing anything, please email us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top of this page. For private users, continued use after an update means the new terms apply. Material changes don't apply to the United States unless accepted in a written contract modification.

Other details

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. Our Privacy Notice and Cookie Notice describe how we handle information. They are notices, not a separate contract, except where a statute requires otherwise.
